Rescue Water Craft Operational Swiftwater - Flood - River Rescue

This course is designed to provide professional development for operational use a Rescue Water Craft in flood or swift water environments.  This course includes stages 1-4, instructor lecture, video review, and presentations. Students in this course will be participating as role players during skill sets.  Students will be proficient with the standard 16 criterion skills sets, preventative maintenance, loading and launching, river operational knowledge and working with 1 to five survivors.

This stage is a skill based tier layered technical operations course with an emphasis on vessel stability and dynamic water conditions. Students will be evaluated on criterion operational skills.  Safety Plan is in effect with all training modules

*Pre-requisite applies:  NASBLA or Equivalent Basic Boating Certificate &
SRT Training Course (Rescue 3 International, Rescue Canada or equivalent)

Agency approval to attend if required.

Minimum Age: 18 years of age

Fee:  $1,825.00 USD

*All course fees are set for a minimum of 6 students per course to host, if the minimum is not met the course will be cancelled, postponed or the full fee will be applied. Water conditions for training are dependent on weather, site location and seasonal environment.

This course is open to public safety agency personnel who use Rescue Water Craft for water safety, SAR or general duties; such as law enforcement, fire rescue, lifeguard, volunteer services of the general qualifying public.
